Hello, and welcome to Mindful Touch Therapies. My name is Lyn Barefoot, and I am passionate about health and wellbeing. My journey into complementary therapies began in 2012 when I took a basic diploma in massage. Since then, I have continued my personal development to extended my qualifications to a VTCT Level 3 in Complementary Therapies and a VTCT Level 4 in Therapies for those with cancer and other life limiting conditions. I also have many other add-on diplomas such as Scar Work and Aromatherapy for Cancer, pregnancy massage/reflexology, and advanced massage techniques to name but a few. I am always eager to learn new things and I am presently studying a BSc(Hons) in Health Science.

Alongside my qualifications I also have a wealth of experience, and specialised for eight years in treatments for those living with cancer and other medical conditions, having previously worked at the Fern Centre at North Devon District Hospital and volunteered at the North Devon Hospice.

Having worked for the NHS, I have seen first hand how hard everyone works. Not just the Dr's and nurses but everyone that makes our wonderful NHS what it is, and without those people the service just wouldn't be able to run. Those people such as healthcare assistants, admin staff, housekeeping, radiographers, pharmacy workers, lab technicians to name just a few. And that is why I am offering 10% off all treatments for NHS workers.

Services

At Mindful Touch Therapies, your safety is paramount. However, It is your responsibility to disclose any medical conditions that you may have to ensure that a safe treatment can be given. Consent from your consultant/GP is required if you have any of the following conditions:

Cancer - Hepatitis - Diabetes Type 1 - Skeletal disease - Stroke - Blood clotting - Liver/kidney infection Cardiovascular disease - Epilepsy - Recent scar tissue - Nervous disease/disorder - Muscular disease/disorder Immunocompromised conditions

This list is not exhaustive and other conditions may also require consent from a consultant/GP.

If you have any of the conditions above, or any medical condition which you're not sure about, please email mindfultouchtherapies@outlook.com for a consent form which you can pass to your consultant/GP.

I retain the right to refuse treatment, should consultant/GP consent not be provided when necessary, or if I think that the treatment could be detrimental to your to your health.
